Obergurgl Resort Description Snow Range: 1800-3080m Village Heights 1,930m (6,332ft) Highest Lift 3,080m (10,105ft) Situated in the spectacular Oetz Valley, Obergurgl is one of the highest resorts in Austria at 1930m. It boasts an extremely long season (Nov-May) due to its excellent snow record and, with the new gondola linked to Hochgurgl, there are over 100km of runs. Most of its skiing is above the tree-line, so it can sometimes appear rather bleak and open. The resort itself is quite attractive and traditional and the lifts depart straight from the village centre. Obergurgl remains largely unspoilt - there is no through traffic and the attractive village centre has plenty to offer in the way of traditional nightlife. Apres Ski: The old saying "quality over Quantity" couldn't be more suited to the bars in Obergurgl: Krump'n Stadl Josl Keller Nederhette A superb choice of restaurants, plus numerous excellent cafes are present with a traditional 3-course dinner from approx. €25 Picnic Wiesenthal Romantika Belmonte Pizzerias.
